Sounds of Summer 2026 Recap: Champagne, Concerts & A Surprise Guest Appearance From Mother Nature

Summer officially arrived on June 4.

Not according to the calendar.

Not according to the weather.

According to the moment Exit 147 started playing

and the first guests stepped onto The Veranda.

That's when Sounds of Summer 2026 really began.

If opening night was any indication, we're in for a pretty ridiculous summer.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

The Veranda Pass Might Be The Best Seat Nobody Is Talking About for Sounds of Summer 2026

Look, we're a little biased.

But also...

We're right.

Watching a concert from The Veranda feels a bit like discovering a secret level in a video game.

Below you is a sea of people, live music, dancing, lawn chairs, and summer energy stretching in every direction. Up above? Comfortable seating, great food, cocktails, and enough breathing room to actually enjoy the experience. The elevated view created a front-row perspective of the concert while still feeling intimate and relaxed.

It's the difference between attending the concert and experiencing it.

And yes, we're going to be using that line all summer.

The Champagne Toast Was The Moment

Every event has a moment.

You know the one.

The moment where everyone collectively realizes:

"Oh. This is going to be a good night."

For opening night, it happened during the champagne toast.

As trays of sparkling flutes made their way across The Veranda, guests raised a glass to the season ahead.

It was just one of those perfect summer moments where great music, good company, and a little bit of bubbly align at exactly the right time.

Let's Discuss The Food Because Obviously We Need To

You knew this section was coming.

The Veranda Pass isn't just a concert ticket with a nicer view.

It's dinner and a show.

And the opening menu came out swinging.

The lobster roll delivered rich, buttery flavor balanced with a fresh herb dressing.

The smashburger brought everything you want from a summer favorite:

juicy, satisfying, and paired with perfectly crisp fries.

And for guests feeling adventurous, the duck quesadilla offered a savory twist that quickly developed a fan club of its own.

Then Mother Nature Auditioned For The Headliner Spot

Unfortunately, June 11 had other plans.

And by "other plans," we mean weather that

looked like it was being directed by Michael Bay.

Clouds rolled in.

Rain arrived.

Lightning decided to make a guest appearance.

And suddenly Mother Nature became the evening's main act.

While the event couldn't move forward safely, we appreciate everyone's understanding.

Besides, every great summer story needs at least one weather-related plot twist.

We got ours out of the way early.

Now we're ready to get back to the fun part.

The Best Part? We're Just Getting Started.

The rest of the Sounds of Summer lineup is stacked.

And yes, even Boy Band Night because nostalgia is apparently undefeated.

Every Wednesday brings a different soundtrack.

Every Veranda Pass brings the same unbeatable view.

And if opening night taught us anything, it's that summer on The Veranda hits a little differently.

Final Take

Opening night gave us everything we'd hoped for.

Live music.

Great food.

Champagne.

A packed crowd.

And one of those evenings that reminds you why outdoor concerts never go out of style.

The rain may have interrupted week two.

But summer isn't going anywhere.

We'll see you on The Veranda.
