"From the moment of my initial phone call and first visit, I knew the Metropolis Ballroom was the perfect venue for my event. Yesterday, the shower I had for my daughter-in-law in the Harmony Suite was PERFECT. The room looked gorgeous. The Captain and the wait-staff were wonderful, and the food was incredibly delicious. This was the first time that any of my guests had ever been to the Metropolis Ballroom and, I can honestly say, that they were in awe. Some of the compliments I received were, "This is the best catered food I have ever eaten," and "I have never been to a nicer shower". This was all due to you and your staff for making my vision of a fun, beautiful and dazzling shower come to fruition.
The Chef created a marvelous meal. The salad was spectacular, the chicken was tender, and the pasta and veggies were fresh, colorful and flavorful. I noticed that there was not an apple tart dessert morsel left on any one of the fancy dessert plates. Please inform Chef of how much we loved everything.
You could not have selected a more efficient Captain for us than Halina. She was on top of everything, and as delightful as she could be. The servers, Jen and Nina, were attentive, pleasant, and responsive to everyone. These women made the shower an afternoon of splendor and delight.
Three cheers to you for everything you did to honor every request of mine, for your thoughtful suggestions, and, most especially, for treating us as special clients. That is a unique talent to make someone who is having a small event feel as though she matters. I would not hesitate to ever recommend the Metropolis Ballroom to anyone. Actually, I am trying to find a reason to give another party.
Thank you from the bottom of my socks because the bottom of my heart isn't deep enough. It was a pure pleasure to work with you. Every phone call and every email was always answered promptly, and you delivered everything you promised, and more! I hope our paths will cross again."

"I just wanted to thank you for all of your help in making my mom's surprise 50th so special. I have received numerous calls and complements about how fun and wonderful the night was. Of course the true test was whether my mom had a great time or not- I think by the mere fact she never left the dance floor and while looking at photos afterwards asked, " The tablecloths were purple??" says a lot.

And while it's bittersweet to have crossed that pivotal milestone, we are so thankful for all of the joys we shared that day and memories we will cherish forever. To this day, one of my favorite memories was the night we had the food tasting. It was that night that I knew the event would be a triumph. The food was fabulous that night and on the big day and perfectly complemented by the space and mood you helped us construct. The details do matter and you practice that mentality day in and day out. Details do matter and they mattered on my wedding day- the dress and rose petals, the champagne, the gifts for my parents, the help with my dress; those details enriched my memories and for that I am forever grateful to you. "First off, I think you have a very nice facility at the Ballroom for a wedding of our size. The main room and bar area work well together and it still left plenty of room for dancing. Since the weather was so nice having the veranda available was such an added bonus. The Harmony room was a comfortable place even for a wedding party and family of our size to take a moment and regroup after the ceremony/pictures.
Most importantly, and please share this with everyone, I want to commend you and all the staff at the Ballroom for your great service, helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism. Michael I could tell that you enjoyed your job and had an eye for details. As you probably figured out we are also a detail oriented family so we appreciated the exactness of your planning and execution. Your assistant who we met (I'm sorry to have forgotten her name) was also a great help in keeping track of all the items we brought in which were also returned in great shape. Helina was wonderful to have at the reception, making sure all was taken care of properly, helping our friends with the gifts and so many other things that we observed or heard about later. She really made things flow so smoothly for us.
Lastly, the waite staff and bartender were all so good and impressive. I can't remember being served any better at a large group event then we were at our reception. As I told you, I thought you had assigned your best server to our table. We consider this the most important aspect of what our guests experienced and what we had so many positive comments from friends and family that we are proud to have chosen the Metropolis Ballroom for our event.
As always it is the people that make the event and you and all the staff and servers were excellent. Even behind the scene people like the cook/s must have been great based on the presentation of the food. Thank you for contributing to the awesome day and evening that we, Becky and Daniel, and everyone else had. You all really did make a difference and we appreciate that so much."

"Mike and Jen's wedding receptions was the bride's dream come true. The room was stunning, with the candle light and flowers glowing off the hanging tiny ceiling lights. The silver chairs added to it's elegance and the white table clothes and eggplant napkins pulled it all together. The head table was gorgeous! The silver tablecloths and organza looked so special! I was told by many guests that dinner was excellent! My oldest son, had recently attended a wedding reception at the Four Seasons in Chicago. Afterward he raved about the room and meal. According to Dan yesterday, the Metropolis blew them away. The food he said, was steps above the Four Seasons . and the room was amazing. The balcony added the opportunity to enjoy the lovely night we were given. All in all, the night was a grand success. I can't thank you enough for your help and direction in the planning. You certainly perfected your craft."
